Finding Ultimate Satisfaction
This world could never satisfy our hunger for complete and perfect love, joy, and happiness–the kind that never fades away. This world could never fill this hunger because it is not our home.
At the end of the hard journey through the struggles of life, it will be great to experience the sweet taste of victory and the moment we finally make it home. It’s the ultimate reward that is to come for those who long to be reunited with their Creator in indescribable paradise and everlasting life. It is only there, in God’s mysterious beauty and perfect love that we’ll finally reach the complete joy and happiness our hearts have always longed for.
Because of our moral brokenness, no human could be with God and live, a separation existed between us. But God chose to pay the price and create a bridge back to Himself, back to our true home. That is why I call this painting, The Bridge of Triumph. God’s sacrifice has become our victory.
Inscribed at the gate is the Name through which all pass, who is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. The street is coated in the blood, sweat, and tears of our Savior and all who have sacrificed to show the way for us. Going forward on the street, the color shifts from red to gold, from pain to pleasure, rolling out to welcome each of us with honor and prestige. We’ll be welcomed with open arms. And enter into the most holy place, which is represented by the cherubim, drawn from the ark of the covenant, which was once untouchable, but is now opened for you.
It is not always easy to follow the path of God in this world, but He gives us signs and direction. We limp along sometimes, and we carry heavy burdens. But as long as we’re still breathing, it’s to reflect the glory that is to come… To show people a glimpse of the love of heaven that they might see the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
I can’t even imagine the sounds of the great party there must as we enter heaven and the feeling of being reunited with all who have gone before us. . . louder than any human stadium has ever known. And we’ll come to find out that all along heaven has been cheering for you and me.
We face a strong adversary, who at all times and clever ways attempts to corrupt our direction, steal our joy, and rob us of the great reward. It isn’t easy to follow the path of God in this world, but as difficult as the way may be, its triumphant end is worth whatever struggles we temporarily face on this road. So whatever riches, whatever struggles, whatever pain, or pleasure you experience in life. Never lose sight of this moment, the moment of your journey’s end, a moment worth your whole life, when you’ll enter into the sweetest victory mankind can ever know.
